Directions and Access

Getting here: 

The entrance to Cliff Edge is not on the main road, it’s at the back of the building (turn into Ulaila road from Narrowcliff and take the first right into a smaller road. The apartment building is the first set of gates. (scroll down for a map with our pin).

Parking: You have a free, dedicated parking bay with the sign '34' displayed. It is to the right as you enter the main gates. This apartment block is directly in front. Electric chargers are nearby so please use your GPS app which should show you where they are located.

Getting in!:

Access to the main gate and all building doors is #4444

The front door key is located in a lockbox . The code to open the lockbox on the wall is 2559. On checkout, please place the keys in the lockbox.

Balcony

Entertaining and Relaxing: chairs should be ready for you, a sun lounger, and a rattan table which is often in the lounge next the TV are at your disposal. I hope the weather is good enough to enjoy the space! It has its own lights (on the interior wall to the right of the balcony door) and a power source plug set on the exterior wall to the right as you enter).

Balcony door doors - the main sliding door - when closing, pull the left side inward extra hard / focused and it will slot into place. To fully open up the balcony, just flip the latch on the left door and open up the last door on the left with a handle!

Setting up single beds:

There are two sofas that convert to flat beds by a click-clack unfolding process. We're committed to create genuinely comfortable single beds:

1. Padded memory foam mattress toppers (located on the right above the shelf in the utility room).

2. Additional memory foam 'layer' for added joint and back support (utility room).

3. Furniture risers to be placed under the bottom of the beds to secure the bed in place (black building blocks located in the lounge area).

5. All windows in the apartment are equipped with blackout blinds to ensure a good night's sleep for additional guests. 

Entertainment

TVs - feel free to use any streaming services that are logged in. Remember the blue tooth soundbars look the same (Samsung) and try to use them rather than the TV audio.

Utilities

Heating. Underfloor heating has a main control on living room but most rooms have their own thermostat to override it as it can get very toasty!

Wifi codes are on the BT router in the utility room on the left.

Laundry - Please make use of the washing machine and dryer as well as the detergent and other materials like fabric softener, same dishwasher tablet! Note that the dryer requires water to be emptied out after a few cycles as well as the lint/fluff internal panel. If it stops abruptly during a cycle and the signs flash, you may need to clear the heat panel (external panel on the bottom left of the machine, be careful not cut yourself on the grate). This is all unlikely unless you are doing a lot of laundry!

Blinds: every window has a light diffusing privacy blind roller and a blackout roller - note the bedroom one is very wide so will be heavier than the others. Don’t worry; you are not breaking them!

Air vents - these are on either side of the window treatments - mostly pertinent to the bedroom. If there is some street noise, these vents are into slotted into place!

Air ventilation - bathroom and utility room: these are turned on or off by a switch in the hallway near each room on the top. They are noisy (and effective) so worthwhile turning them off at night.

Bathroom: the towel heater gets very hot so please be careful. Further, please make use of the bottom shelf and and floating white shelf to place your toiletries as the main sink is made of enamel and prone to staining. Enamel protection sprays have been used but they provide full protection. This is mostly relevant for fake tan and make up products!

Trash disposal:

We take out the trash by housekeeping, but if you fill the bins and need to take out the trash:

Linen:

Extra linen and pillows should be found in the bed drawers.

If you have declared 3-4 guests, single bed linen will be laid out in the utility room along with the mattress toppers and memory foam layers.

Perishable Sundries - While you have a wide selection of teas and Nespresso pods (inc Decaf). We tend to avoid having too many guests across each month to avoid wear and tear, but our housekeepers stock fresh milk for guests! 

There is a Tesco Express nearby as well as others. Both Uber Eats and Deliveroo deliver groceries to this address.

Health and Safety: Fire extinguisher and First Aid are located in the utility room. The property has also been third party verified for all checks under safety legislation. You are in good hands.

Checking out: Just dial the Hive heating device down to 17, close windows and balcony door and place outdoor furniture inside or cover them securely. Leave key in the box on the front door handle (external).
